On the advice of my Auntie Vicki, I have now turned to peppermint oil as my secret weapon in the battle against the mouse. Apparently, mice hate the smell of peppermint and it's an effective mouse deterrent.
When I went to Vitamin World to pick up the peppermint oil, the guys told me I was the third person that morning to come in for the mint magic mouse weapon -- so it must be a well-known secret.
There are now cotton balls dipped in peppermint oil scattered around our apartment. The mouse hasn't been spotted since Saturday, so he may have left before the peppermint oil was instated but our apartment smells lovely!
